Biography
Rob Amberg is a photographer/writer who lives in the mountains of western North Carolina. His work has been widely exhibited and published and he is the recipient of numerous awards, including fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. His most recent book is The New Road: I-26 and the Footprints of Progress in Appalachia. He regularly blogs about photography, farm life, and community at http://robamberg.com/blog. He is currently working on a third book from his home county of Madison that is tentatively titled ShatterZone.
